HUMAN RIGHTS POLICY

MIXI Group is committed to “contributing to the enrichment of society through the creation of communication services that connect hearts and minds.” As a company, we have established the “MIXI Group Business Conduct Guidelines,” which all employees at MIXI Group must follow.

Within these guidelines, we outline MIXI Group’s fundamental stance on human rights, emphasizing respect for international human rights norms, adherence to human rights policies, and the prohibition of discrimination.

The “MIXI Group Human Rights Policy” (hereinafter referred to as “this policy”) is derived from the “MIXI Group Business Conduct Guidelines” and explicitly demonstrates MIXI Group’s responsibility towards human rights.

MIXI Group recognizes the potential direct or indirect negative impacts on human rights that may arise from all business activities. To ensure respect for the human rights of all individuals involved in our business activities, the President and CEO will take responsibility for promoting initiatives aimed at human rights protection.

Respect for Human Rights

MIXI Group respects internationally recognized human rights as outlined in the “International Bill of Human Rights” and the “ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work.” Furthermore, we are keenly aware of such crucial issues as the elimination of child labor and forced labor, and respect for freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining. We continuously strive to achieve these and aim to establish a sustainable working environment. Additionally, we comply with the laws and regulations applicable in the countries and regions where we operate, in alignment with the “UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights” and the “Children’s Rights and Business Principles.” In instances where there is a conflict between internationally recognized human rights and local laws, we will endeavor to find ways to uphold internationally recognized human rights.

Scope of Application

This policy signifies MIXI Group’s commitment to respecting human rights and applies to all executives and employees of MIXI Group. We also expect all business partners to support this policy.

We also implement robust occupational health and safety measures to prevent workplace accidents and foster an environment that supports employees’ physical and mental well-being.
Emphasis on Diversity and Prohibition of Harassment and Discrimination
MIXI Group respects regional and cultural diversity, as well as freedom of thought, belief, and expression. We do not tolerate any form of harassment, including power harassment, sexual harassment, and harassment from customers. Furthermore, we strictly prohibit discrimination based on race, religion, beliefs, gender, sexual orientation or gender identity (including LGBTQ+), age, nationality or origin (including foreign nationals), illness, or disability.
Respect for Human Rights in AI Utilization and Services
MIXI Group is fully aware of the human rights risks associated with AI utilization, including rights violations on social media such as defamation and privacy breaches, as well as risks that may emerge in the development, provision, and use of our services—such as the infringement of children’s rights and property rights. We make every effort to prevent and mitigate these risks. In addition, we have established personal information protection policies within our Business Conduct Guidelines and the privacy policies of each group company, and are committed to putting these policies into practice.
