■ What is MIXI TECH DESIGN CONFERENCE 2024?

MIXI TECH DESIGN CONFERENCE 2024 is a conference that aims to contribute to the advancement of technology and design where we showcase the technology and design expertise we have cultivated, our initiatives to solve issues, and the new challenges we are taking on for the future, through a wide range of presentations and panel discussions.
Since our founding, through co-creation via technology and creativity, we have created communication services used by many people, including the social networking service mixi, MONSTER STRIKE, and FamilyAlbum. At MIXI TECH CONFERENCE 2023, the first technology conference we held independently, our engineers shared insights and know-how gained through the challenges they have taken on and the experience they have built up over the years.
This year, the event returns with an expanded scope that now includes designers, who, alongside engineers, are at the forefront of product creation. Under the theme of Co-Creation, we will present a total of 28 sessions covering topics such as AI image analysis using indoor location data in sports, authentication infrastructure for payment services, agile development, and UX design for robots.

At this conference, the Day 1 keynote will feature Koki Kimura, developer of MONSTER STRIKE and president, representative director, and CEO of MIXI, and Kenji Kasahara, developer of the social networking service mixi and FamilyAlbum and director and founder of MIXI. Under the theme of MIXI’s product development, they will discuss their approaches to creating some of our most representative services, as well as the future of product development shaped by the latest technologies. The Day 2 keynote will feature a panel discussion with CTO Junpei Yoshino, CDO Yoshiyuki Yokoyama, and CISO Naoki Kameyama, who assumed their roles as the top leaders of their respective domains in April 2023 and have been leading our technology and design teams. They will discuss practical examples of how our values of innovation, passion, and integrity are put into practice and embodied in product development. The moderator will be Director Tatsuma Murase, who has overseen our engineering organization for many years. In addition, the conference will present the latest examples of our technology and design initiatives, including the use of indoor location information and AI image analysis technology in sports, authentication infrastructure in payment services, agile development, and UX design for the conversational AI robot Romi.
