MIXI Signs Men’s Figure Skater Sota Yamamoto

Tokyo, Japan, July 1, 2025 — MIXI, Inc. is pleased to announce that it has signed a management agreement with men’s figure skater Sota Yamamoto.

After overcoming two fractures and undergoing three surgeries, Sota Yamamoto returned to competition in the 2017-2018 season. Through persistent effort, he placed second at the ISU Grand Prix Final and won the Winter World University Games in the 2022-2023 season, and he was selected for the World Championships team for the first time, achieving one of his goals. In the 2023-2024 season, he won the ISU Grand Prix Series event in Canada and claimed third place at the All Japan Figure Skating Championships, marking his first podium finish there in his 10th appearance. These achievements also earned him a place on the Four Continents Championships team, and he is expected to continue reaching new heights.

Athlete Profile: Sota Yamamoto

Born on January 10, 2000 in Osaka Prefecture.
He began skating in early childhood and built an impressive record from his junior years, including a bronze medal at the 2015 World Junior Figure Skating Championships and a gold medal at the 2016 Youth Olympic Games. In 2022, he won silver at the ISU Grand Prix Final, and in 2023, he earned his first victory at the ISU Grand Prix Series event in Canada, continuing to compete at the world’s top level in the senior ranks.
