MIXI EMPOWERMENT, MIXI’s special subsidiary, recognized with the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare’s Monisu Certification as an outstanding employer of people with disabilities

Tokyo, Japan — MIXI, Inc. announces that its specialized subsidiary MIXI EMPOWERMENT, Inc., has been certified by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare under their Monisu certification system, which recognizes outstanding small and medium-sized employers promoting the employment of persons with disabilities.
Following this certification, a certificate presentation ceremony was held on December 15, 2025, at the Miyagi Labour Bureau, which has jurisdiction over Sendai City, where MIXI EMPOWERMENT has its main operational base.

About the Monisu Certification Program

The Monisu Certification System is a program under which the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare certifies small and medium-sized employers that demonstrate excellence in promoting the employment of people with disabilities and supporting stable employment. In addition to maintaining employment and retention rates above a certain level, the evaluation also covers comprehensive efforts such as hiring, placement/training, workplace environment improvements, and the establishment of consultation systems. The efforts of certified employers are publicized, positioning them as role models in their local communities and industries, with the aim of raising the overall standard among small and medium-sized employers working to employ people with disabilities.

MIXI EMPOWERMENT: Employment of People With Disabilities

The company was established in October 2017 as a subsidiary of mixi (now MIXI) with the aim of expanding the opportunities that people with disabilities have to thrive. Its primary business is to support a wide range of operations across the Group, including data creation and entry, game business support services such as QA, and back-office support. It currently has 33 employees with disabilities, including 30 in the Sendai Business Division as of December 2025.
In 2025, it also revamped its PMWV corporate philosophy and adopted the Purpose of creating a society where everyone can work as themselves and with a smile, while promoting a workplace that respects diversity.

Revamped PMWV
Purpose: Creating a society where everyone can work as themselves and with a smile
Mission: What makes each person unique can move someone else. We create those moments together.
Way (Decision-Making Principle): User Surprise First
Values (Behavioral Guidelines): Respect, Unity, Integrity, Growth, Autonomy

Next Steps

Building on the insights gained through Monisu certification, we will further enhance our support framework and evaluation systems. Specifically, by conducting employee satisfaction surveys that capture not only ease of working, but also job satisfaction and a sense of contribution, we will work to improve the quality of work in addition to quantitative indicators such as employment and retention rates. We will also strengthen career development support to help employees with disabilities advance to the next step, including through more robust internal training programs, with the aim of evolving from an environment where they can simply continue working to one where they can grow. In addition, we will put in place mechanisms for promoting understanding and mutual learning that also involve employees with disabilities themselves, and we will further deepen a culture of working together rather than one of supporting and being supported, while promoting the development of systems and structures that reflect the voices of the employees directly involved.
