MIXI Joins The Nippon Foundation Para Sports Support Center Initiative as a Partner
Supporting the realization of a diverse, equitable, and inclusive society through parasports with “Asu-Challe!”
Tokyo, Japan, April 23, 2026 — MIXI, Inc will participate as a partner in “Asu-Challe!” in fiscal year 2026. Asu-Challe! is a DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) education and training program led by instructors, a portion of which are para-athletes, and operated by The Nippon Foundation Para Sports Support Center (hereinafter “Para Sports”).
Asu-Challe! is scheduled to be held more than 700 times a year across Japan in collaboration with partner companies, and we are happy to be helping support its nationwide expansion through partnering with them.
Purpose and Background of Our Participation
Guided by our Purpose of “Enriching communication and inspiring moments of joy,” we pursue the creation of space and opportunity for truly meaningful connections as we provide a variety of communication services. Within the company, we have also been working to create an environment in which employees with diverse characteristics can thrive, including the employment of people with disabilities through MIXI EMPOWERMENT, Inc., a subsidiary of MIXI, Inc.
Additionally, we are working to address social issues and promote DEI through sports, including by revitalizing local communities through our professional sports teams, CHIBAJETS and FC TOKYO, and by offering sports classes for children where everyone can participate and enjoy sports, regardless of ability.
We also support mutual growth with local communities and the development of the next generation by promoting ICT (Information and Communication Technology) education for elementary and junior high school students in Shibuya and providing educational support to technical college students in Kamiyama, Tokushima Prefecture.
We have decided to join Asu-Challe! as a partner because we share Para Sports’ philosophy of social change with sports and want to help advance next-generation education through parasports.
Why We Support Asu-Challe!
Asu-Challe! offers programs that give participants opportunities to interact with para-athletes and experience parasports firsthand, inspiring changes in their awareness and behavior. We believe the process of mutual understanding that grows through these shared experiences closely aligns with our mission to create spaces and opportunities for truly meaningful connections.
Through this initiative, we will combine the expertise we have gained from designing communication that connects people with the real value of the hands-on experiences Asu-Challe! provides, and work to create connections with people and society through sports.
We will help build a society with strong DEI where the next generation of children naturally embrace diversity and everyone can thrive as themselves.
Comment from Koki Kimura, President and Representative Director of MIXI, Inc.
Para-athletes bring an extraordinary level of passion and performance, filled with the kind of uplifting surprises that can vividly transform the way people see the world. Through sports, the most powerful common language of all, we can embrace our differences and connect with one another. We will continue bringing this firsthand experience of enriched communication to the next generation of children.
Comment from Yasushi Yamawaki, Chair of The Nippon Foundation Para Sports Support Center
Asu-Challe! marked its 10th year last year and has reached 660,000 people, primarily children across Japan. Now, as the program begins its second decade and evolves even further, we are happy to have MIXI, Inc. join us as a partner. Through our work to date, we have seen how children absorb what they learn like sponges. I am excited by the possibilities that could emerge from the synergy between MIXI, Inc.’s expertise in communication design and Asu-Challe!, and I look forward to seeing that partnership help expand the potential of many more children.
