MIXI to Exhibit at Japan Expo Paris 2026, One of Europe’s Largest Japanese Culture Events

Showcasing our communication experiences to the world through MONSTER STRIKE, FamilyAlbum, and MIXI ANIME

Tokyo, Japan, June 9, 2026 — MIXI, Inc. announces that it will exhibit at Japan Expo Paris 2026, one of Europe’s largest Japanese culture events, to be held in Paris, France from July 9-12, 2026.
Our exhibit will focus on STRIKE WORLD, the global version of MONSTER STRIKE, alongside FamilyAlbum, which continues to expand its global user base, and works from MIXI ANIME, which depicts sports and Japanese culture from a unique perspective. Amid growing global interest in Japanese IP and culture, we will showcase communication experiences through games, apps, and anime that people enjoy together.

■Background of the Exhibit

  • Japanese content such as anime and games has gained a massive following across borders in recent years, fueled by the widespread adoption of social media and video streaming services. The overseas revenue of Japan’s content industry reached approximately 5.8 trillion yen in 2023, and the government has set a target of 20 trillion yen in overseas sales by 2033*, making this an ideal time to share the appeal of Japanese content with the world.
  • Furthermore, the way people enjoy content has expanded beyond individual viewing and experiencing; fans now talk among themselves and share their passion for their favorite works. To further develop Japanese IPs, we believe it is crucial to channel the passion of international fans who engage with these works and characters into deeper interactions and more experiences.
  • Since our founding, we have focused on enriching communication allow for truly meaningful connections through services designed to be enjoyed together with friends and family, such as the social networking service mixi, MONSTER STRIKE, and FamilyAlbum. We go beyond creating services by creating spaces that generate excitement and warmth by offering experiences that people can enjoy together. In the medium-term vision announced this fiscal year, we have positioned the present as our third founding period and aim to achieve new business growth by delivering these experiences to people all over the world.

At this year’s Japan Expo, our exhibit will focus on STRIKE WORLD, the global version of MONSTER STRIKE which has surpassed 65 million cumulative users worldwide and has collaborated with a wide variety of IPs, including Japanese anime. To date, MONSTER STRIKE has primarily operated in Japan, providing social entertainment with friends through multiplayer gameplay over many years. We have run collaborations with various IPs, creating spaces where players can enjoy the worlds and characters of these IPs together. We aim to bring this experience to the global stage.
In addition, we will showcase FamilyAlbum and MIXI ANIME works at our booth. This will display our many initiatives that extend beyond gaming, including our service for sharing memories with family and anime themed around sports and Japanese culture.

Through this exhibit, we aim to create more opportunities to communicate the possibilities of communication experiences where people around the world can connect through Japanese IP and culture to enjoy them together.
