The Five Companies Planning Kids VALLEY Will Host Another Programming Event for Elementary and Junior High School Students This Summer!
Tokyo, Japan, July 10, 2025 — Five companies will host “Kids VALLEY Future Learning Project presents Programming Summer Camp 2025” (“Programming Summer Camp 2025”), a programming event for elementary and junior high school students, in August 2025.
Since 2019, five companies based in Shibuya, Tokyu, CyberAgent, DeNA, GMO Internet Group, and MIXI have been working with the Shibuya City Board of Education to support programming education at Shibuya City elementary and junior high schools through the Kids VALLEY Future Learning Project (the “Project”). With the introduction of programming education in elementary and junior high schools becoming mandatory in 2020/2021, the Project aims to build a foundation in Shibuya for developing talent with the qualities and abilities needed for the next generation.
Programming Summer Camp 2025 marks the seventh Programming Summer Camp. At this in-person event, participating companies will offer a wide range of content, including workshops on programming and generative AI for elementary and junior high school students.
In addition, information about this project is being shared widely on the official Kids VALLEY website (http://kidsvalley.jp/) to help promote programming education. Kids VALLEY will continue working toward realizing a next-generation education model through public-private collaboration.
