MIXI Releases FY2026 New Graduate Technical Training Materials To Nurture Next-Generation Engineers Co-Creating with AI
Fostering Practical Skills by Integrating AI Expertise Based on Real-World Engineering Experience
Tokyo, Japan, July 24, 2026—MIXI, Inc. has released its technical training materials for new graduates joining the company in FY2026. This ongoing initiative aims to broadly share the company’s expertise and contribute to the technological advancement of the IT industry. This fiscal year, training programs for 12 subjects will be made publicly available.
In response to the growing use of AI in development work, this year’s technical training expanded the AI-specific program to two days. Furthermore, rather than limiting the focus to AI training, every subject uses real-world AI use cases from current engineers, providing practical learning to help new graduates seamlessly incorporate AI into their everyday development work.

About the FY2026 New Graduate Technical Training
Under our purpose of “Enriching communication and inspiring moments of joy,” MIXI operates services across a wide range of business areas. This business areas include sports, lifestyle, digital entertainment, and investment, which means our engineers work with a highly diverse set of technologies. To address this, our technical training for new graduates is conducted in a hands-on, practical format, allowing them to broadly acquire skills in fields such as databases, AI, security, and team development.
In this year’s technical training, we expanded the AI training to two days. In addition to the machine learning (ML) basics covered last year, we introduced more practical topics such as large language models (LLMs) and AI agents. The first day’s theme was “From ML Basics to Operations,” and participants learned the fundamental structure of ML, gained hands-on experience with inference, training, acceleration, and deployment. They also studied common terminology for evaluation and operations. The second day focused on “LLMs, Agents, and Generative AI,” where participants learned the basics of generative AI, practiced working with LLMs, and built their own AI agents. By adding new hands-on sessions on generative AI and AI agents, the program goes beyond theoretical understanding to help new graduates build a foundation for real-world application.
Furthermore, rather than limiting this focus to the AI training itself, every subject integrated real-world AI use cases from current engineers, providing practical learning to help new graduates seamlessly incorporate AI into their everyday development work.
Through this training program designed around the practical application of AI, we aim to nurture next-generation engineers who can drive user value and business results.
The training program for this fiscal year (12 subjects) is as follows.

| Git Training | Training that covers the basics of Git and GitHub, Git internals, the git challenge, and know-how for team development |
| Container & K8s Training | Acquiring the basics of container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and learning how to operate containers through hands-on Kubernetes training |
| Security Training | Training to build awareness and acquire basic knowledge and technical skills in information security |
| Mobile Training | Training to learn the fundamentals of iOS/Android app development (including UI, debugging, and architecture) |
| Flutter Training | App development using Flutter |
| Web Front-End Training | Training to learn the operating principles of SPAs using declarative UI and virtual DOM, as well as state management techniques |
| AI Training (Day 1) | Hands-on training covering the basics and applications of machine learning (ML), the foundation of AI technology |
| AI Training (Day 2) | Training on the fundamentals of generative AI and LLMs, as well as applications such as commercial APIs and AI agents |
| Data Utilization Training | Basics of data management, problem definition in decision-making, and hypothesis-driven thinking |
| QA and Software Testing Training | Lectures on general concepts of quality and detailed testing techniques |
| Database Training | Learning the basics of database design required for general service development |
| Software Architecture Training | Training to learn what software architecture is, why it matters, and design concepts |

With the evolution of AI, the role of engineers is undergoing a major shift. Moving forward, engineers will need more than just the ability to write code; they will increasingly be expected to leverage AI to accelerate development speed, focus on delivering value to users, and drive business results.
For MIXI’s new graduate technical training, we design our curriculum on the premise that AI is not a specialized technology confined to a specific domain, but a tool to be utilized across all technical areas. We also ask our instructors to demonstrate how they personally use AI. Rather than just teaching technical skills, we aim to instill the mindset required in the AI era throughout all our training. By delegating tasks like coding to AI agents, we want to enable engineers to dedicate more of their time to creating new businesses and pursuing user value.
I hope our new graduates will master AI early on, build on their strengths, and grow into engineers who can adapt flexibly to change. By making these training materials public, I’d like to help raise technical standards and nurture the next generation of engineers not just within our company, but across the entire industry.
We will continue to contribute to improving the industry’s overall technical capabilities and developing the next generation of engineers through a range of initiatives, including the external publication of our technical training materials.
