Women’s Keirin Anime “Rinkai!” Streaming in North America in Fall 2025!

Exhibiting at Anime Expo 2025, one of the world’s largest anime events, this July
Tokyo, Japan, June 24, 2025 — MIXI, Inc. hereby announces that the anime from the Rinkai! Project will begin streaming in North America in fall 2025. The anime features women’s keirin characters and was developed as original content by MIXI_ANIME. MIXI will also exhibit a booth at Anime Expo 2025, one of the world’s largest anime events, to be held in Los Angeles, California, from July 3 to July 6, 2025.
The coming-of-age anime Rinkai!: Spreading the appeal of keirin
The Rinkai! Project creates original female keirin racer characters, each representing a different keirin stadium across Japan. The project promotes the appeal of keirin through characters, comics, anime, and other media with the goal of bringing excitement to keirin stadiums nationwide. The anime, set in the world of women’s keirin, tells a coming-of-age story about young racers giving their all for their dreams and their friends, while portraying the intensity of the sport as well as the athletes’ struggles and growth. Since April 2024, it has been broadcast and streamed in more than 100 countries and regions, including Japan, France, Spain, Italy, South Korea, and other Asian countries and regions (excluding the Middle East and mainland China). North American streaming is scheduled to begin this fall through Cineverse, a U.S. entertainment company.

Hello! I’m Umino Kawamura, the voice of Izumi Ito! I was so happy to hear that the anime Rinkai! will finally be streaming in North America. It means people around the world will get to experience this story.Izumi Ito, the character I play, is an honest and straightforward girl. It’s a passionate story about Izumi discovering her own talents and meeting wonderful friends through cycling as she keeps pedaling forward. During the recording, I took great care to portray the delicate emotional shifts she goes through as she grows from a student into an adult, as well as the feelings toward a rival that gradually begin to emerge. Although this anime is based on the Japanese culture of keirin, I believe her wholehearted determination to chase her dreams will resonate with audiences everywhere.
