In October 2019, MIXI acquired Chiba Jets Funabashi Co., Ltd., which operates the professional basketball team CHIBAJETS. In February 2022, we acquired Tokyo Football Club Co., Ltd., which operates the professional soccer club FC TOKYO. Since these acquisitions, we have been working to provide engaging sports entertainment that acts as a place for exciting communication for friends and families. We also contribute to local communities through our professional sports teams FC TOKYO and CHIBAJETS FUNABASHI.

Donation of Backpack Covers to Chofu City

In order to raise awareness of children’s traffic safety and help prevent traffic accidents, we donated approximately 2,300 FC TOKYO backpack covers to first-year elementary school students in Chofu City. The backpack covers are made of fluorescent yellow reflective material to prevent traffic accidents and feature FC TOKYO’s team mascot, TOKYO DOROMPA.

Donation to Funabashi City’s Professional and Corporate Sports Cooperation Promotion Program

We made a donation to Funabashi City, Chiba Prefecture, the home town of the Chiba Jets Funabashi professional basketball team, utilizing the corporate version of the hometown tax donation system. The donation will be used for Funabashi City’s Professional and Corporate Sports Cooperation Promotion Program. The program aims to help revitalize the local community and economy through collaboration with professional and corporate sports teams, while fostering a supportive atmosphere for sports through event organization and promotional activities.

MIXI will continue to contribute to local communities by supporting local residents and collaborating with local governments through professional sports teams.
