AI Use in MIXI Group
At MIXI Group, we aim to leverage the potential of AI to create new communication experiences and sustainable value. We have established the following AI Policy to ensure we properly identify and manage risks and strive for the responsible use of AI while placing great importance on maintaining the trust of our stakeholders.
MIXI Group’s AI Policy
Each company and business within MIXI Group draws on its own unique strengths to improve its services and create value, such as by offering original communication experiences.
We see AI not only as a tool for improving operational efficiency but also as a powerful partner that can support human creativity and decision-making, helping us create value that exceeds our customers’ expectations.
At the same time, the use of AI brings challenges related to human rights, privacy, security, fairness, intellectual property, and the accuracy of information. Our business activities are built on relationships of trust with stakeholders, including customers, business partners, creators, local communities, and employees. Depending on how we use AI, we could risk harming our stakeholders and damaging the public’s trust in us. In particular, we will take great care to ensure that AI does not hinder healthy human connections or encourage isolation or conflict.
We comply with the MIXI Group Business Conduct Guidelines, which serve as our code of conduct, as well as internal rules and the laws, social norms, and ethics of each country and region. After properly identifying and managing the risks inherent in AI, we will responsibly further the development, provision, and use of AI according to the characteristics of each MIXI Group company and business.
This policy has been established with the aim of continuing to provide space and opportunity for truly meaningful connections through bold use of AI characterized by integrity.

We will deepen our understanding of rapidly evolving AI technologies and strive to improve our skills and knowledge in order to utilize them appropriately. By properly understanding and responsibly utilizing technology, we will continuously further our value creation efforts.
